The Potter’s House is a non-profit child care and Early Learning Center for working families. Located in downtown Rockville, the facility opened in 1999 and has a capacity of 63 children. Vision Statement"The Potter’s House, Inc. will provide a safe and quality environment where children of all ages will be stimulated – intellectually, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually”.
Our MissionThe Potter’s House will provide all children, regardless of their culture or socio-economic background, with the skills they will need to be successful in school, become life long learners and thus become active, positive community members. By honoring its commitment to early learning, The Potter’s House believes children will in turn establish life skills leading to improved decision making and better career opportunities as adults. Through intervention, training and varied experiences, children who are part of The Potter’s House Child Development and Learning Center will begin school on an equal level with more affluent members of the community, regardless of their early beginnings. It is because of this belief that all children are worthy of quality early childhood experiences that The Potter’s House is able to draw children from professional families, who already realize the value of quality early childhood development opportunities and who provide those children from less educated backgrounds the role modeling which is so important to early learning.
